Rachel is a ceramics artist based in Evergreen. Her work centers on functional, wheel-thrown ceramics carved with patterns inspired by maps and geology, using traditional techniques to create modern, tactile expressions of science and design. Her degree in Geological Engineering inspires geologic themes throughout her work. The name Strike Slip is a play on words referencing both a type of fault (Strike Slip) as well as a very humble tool used in ceramics (Slip).
