Lance Whitner's paintings are born from a rhythmic, intuitive process of moving through landscape, translating the moments and places that give her pause into layered color and mark-making on canvas. Raised among the colors of America's southern countryside and formally trained at the University of Colorado Boulder, she has called Steamboat Springs home for over 25 years, where the Rocky Mountains fuel both her adventures and her art.
