Tina of Knots, Wood & Stone, is a Lafayette-based woodworker who seeks out the cracked, knotted hardwoods others pass by, transforming their imperfections into stunning culinary pieces inlaid with turquoise, malachite, and other stones — inspired by the Japanese art of Kintsugi, where flaws become the most beautiful part. Her cutting boards, serving platters, and gathering boards are functional works of art rooted in a lifelong love of woodworking passed down from her father.
