About
Lillian Babcock is a Durango-based ceramicist whose practice is rooted in a lifelong connection to the craft, shaped by a BFA from California State University Long Beach, mentorship through a lineage tracing back to Japanese Living National Treasure Tatsuzō Shimaoka, and residencies at institutions including Haystack Mountain School of Crafts and Red Lodge Clay Center. When she's not in her studio overlooking the Animas Valley, she's milking cows, foraging for mushrooms, and making food for her local community.
