Founder and Wine Maker, Michael Hasler, along with his wife, Carolee Corey, Co-Founder and COO, have created a revolution in the wine industry right here in Boulder, Colorado!
Michael is a degreed enologist with over 30 years experience in Australia, New Zealand, California, and France and has produced gold and trophy winning wines throughout his career. Now he's thrilled to be at the helm of his own venture and licensed to play! Decadent Saint - Colorado's Craft Winery was born out of a joyous urge to create something new and excite the marketplace.
Michael created a new category in the liquor industry. Decadent Saint, the first craft winery to pioneer unfiltered, real fruit, wine based concentrates at 20.5% ABV that are made to be diluted with water, club soda or champagne. Each bottle makes up to 5 bottles once diluted and the concentrate stays fresh for 6 months after opening without refrigeration. Wine transformed with real fruit, fresh spice, unfiltered and full of flavor, not flavorings.
Decadent Saint has found favor well beyond expectations with consumers and barmen who are discovering their varied use in an expansive range of cocktails.
“We use a fresh fruit delivery system that can be used instead of muddling fruit behind the bar. Amazing Martinis, Mules, Margaritas, G & T’s, Daquiris, Mimosa’s, Beermosas, and many, many more. It’s a bottled revolution” says winemaker Michael Hasler. “When was the last time a new alcohol product was released that announced itself as a new category? In the liquor biz almost all innovation is happening in packaging. Not so with the Decadents.”
Decadent Saint’s range of products first launched with the brand’s original Rocky Mountain Rescue followed by the Fire or Ice, White, and Red Sangrias, are based on a homemade recipe that Michael created while he owned a ski lodge in New Zealand. (But that's another story for another day!)
Who knew that it would take transporting his incredible recipe from New Zealand to Boulder, CO to make a dream come true!
