Snacking Better with Blue Moose of Boulder

Firefly Handmade New and Featured Artisan Blue Moose of Boulder is taking snacking and outdoor adventures to the next level.

FF: How did you begin your handmade journey?

BM: Almost 20 years ago Blue Moose of Boulder started as an idea, a notion that settling for good enough was unacceptable, and that freshness and flavor should be held to higher standards. We pride ourselves on making delicious dips and spreads that are the perfect shortcut for the home chef or snack to fuel the adventurer.

FF: What led you to your current line of goods?

BM: We believe in snacks made from food, not formulas. Take a look at the ingredients in our products, you will recognize and be able to pronounce every last one. In a world full of overpowering, artificial flavors, we’re proud of our all natural, addicting recipes. We are on a mission to make snacking better, so we hope you’ll stop by our booth at the Fall Market and give us a try!

FF: What materials do you work with & why?

BM: We hand-craft all of our products in small batches with all-natural ingredients, not because it’s easier (it’s not), but because it results in a better product. To maintain vitamins and minerals, we use Cold Pressure, also known as High Pressure Processing (HPP). This is a natural process that allows us to keep our products fresh without preservatives, and it also ensures you get a high quality product every time… so you can dip worry free!

FF: Inspiration comes from where?

BM: We believe that with food, as in life, what you put in is what you get out. And good for you isn’t good enough. It’s got to taste and be great too. We share this passion through food, but are also inspired by the beauty of Colorado. We create snacks that will fuel you up so you can conquer the day or even hike up a fourteener!

FF: What excites you for the future?

BM: We are most excited to show consumers that you don’t have to settle for over processed and bland food. That you don’t have to make everything at home. That there are companies out there that are doing the right thing. We are excited about making snacking more enjoyable and fun and about crafting great tasting snacks to help you conquer your adventures! We also cannot wait for the Firefly Handmade Fall Market – What an incredible opportunity to share our passion and to connect with our friends both new and old in downtown Boulder.

Shop and visit with Blue Moose of Boulder at Firefly Handmade Fall Market, September 17-18, Saturday 11am-7pm & Sunday 11am-5pm, Downtown Boulder Fall Fest on Pearl Street Mall.
