Behind the Scenes with Teakoe Tea, Spring Market Featured and Returning Artisan
Crafting amazing small batch, hand-blended teas, educating consumers on health benefits, and helping save our bees, keeps Teakoe Tea thriving!
FF: How did you begin your handmade journey?
TT: We began our handmade journey in our own kitchen. Blending herbs, spices, dried fruits and tea leaves to our best ability. After many different recipes and taste tests, we took our product to the local farmers markets and began consumer taste testing, gathering as much feedback as possible to perfect Teakoe Tea.
FF: What lead you to your current line of goods?
TT: We first started selling our tea at farmers markets, then moved to restaurant establishments and when customers contacted us multiple times to buy tea to brew at home, we launched our Craft Iced Tea retail line.
FF: What materials do you work with & why?
TT: All our teas are hand- blended from scratch in small batches, using Non-GMO and premium ingredients, sourced from around the world. We pride ourselves in the ingredients we use to result in the best tasting tea.
FF: Inspiration comes from where?
TT: Inspiring people to live a healthy lifestyle, educating consumers on how tea has many benefits and providing a great tasting healthy beverage.
FF: What excites you for the future?
TT: Growing our partnerships through the community and building a strong presence in the tea industry.
FF: Any advice for makers and biz entrepreneurs new to our creative community?
TT: Follow your own path and learn from the mistakes you will make, not the path others have taken. When creating your business, use passion and intuition.
FF: If you have a strong partnership with a non-profit org, what is it and what inspired you to do this?
TT: Teakoe’s THRIVE Initiative is helping build bee hives in our community and educating people on the importance of bee’s to our food source. In partnership with Denver Urban Gardens and local restaurant establishments, we have successfully helped bee’s thrive.
